JEE Main Syllabus 2019
There will be 2 papers in JEE Main 2019- Paper 1 & Paper 2. The syllabus of JEE main 2019 for both papers will be different.
For Paper 1, the syllabus will cover the topics from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as per the curriculum of class 11th & 12th.
For Paper 2, the applicants need to do their preparations in subjects like Mathematics, Aptitude test, Drawing etc. Check Detailed information for JEE Main Syllabus 2019.
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019
The candidates can appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both as per the choice of the course they want to get admission in. the medium of paper will be English and Hindi. However, for exam centres in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the paper will be in English, Hindi and Gujarati. For each paper, the duration of the exam will be 3 hours. 4 marks will be awarded for each right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Pattern for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech)
There will be total 90 questions of MCQ type, out of which 30 questions will be from Physics, 30 from Chemistry & 30 from Mathematics.
Pattern for Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning)
There will be 30 questions from Mathematics, 50 from Aptitude test and 2 questions will be from Drawing. The Mathematics & Aptitude part will be of MCQ type and the drawing part will be of a subjective type. The applicant must fill the type and percentage of disability clearly in the application form to get the additional provisions.
Note: The candidate with disability of 40% or more will be provided 1 hour extra to complete their paper.
The candidates with visual disability of 40% or more will be provided scribe/reader. Request for same must be submitted to the centre superintendent 2 days prior to exam. The candidate will be allowed to meet the scribe a day before exam to check the suitability. The candidates are not supposed to bring their own scribe.
Mobile, calculator, notebook, log table, etc. are not permitted. Even pens and rough sheets will be provided to the candidates inside the exam hall. However, for aptitude test (Paper 2), the candidates will have to bring their own pencils, geometry sets, erasers and color pencils. Check other details for JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019
The exact schedule will be provided once the JEE conducting board releases final notification. However, to provide a rough idea to the candidates, the tentative exam schedule is provided here.
The offline examination (Paper 1 and Paper 2) will be conducted on the 2nd week of April. Paper 1 is supposed to be conducted in the morning shift (0930-1230 Hours (IST)) and Paper 2 will be conducted in the afternoon shift (1400-1700 Hours (IST)).
The online exam (Paper 1) will itself be conducted in two shifts-morning (0930-1230 Hours (IST)) and afternoon shift (1400-1700 Hours (IST)).
JEE Main 2019 State code of Eligibility
Candidate should select the State of Eligibility for IIT JEE 2019 according to the state in which the study centre is situated. The State of Eligibility is not applicable for the candidates belonging to Nepal/Bhutan/Foreign/OCI/PIO. The below table lists the State codes of Eligibility:

JEE Main 2019 Exam Center
The JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in major cities in India as well as abroad. On the basis of choice made in the application form and availability of seat, the selected (or nearby) city will be allotted to the candidate for taking the exam. The candidates are asked for 4 choices for the pen-paper based exam and 1 for computer-based exam. No changes in the allotted exam centre will be entertained.

The applicants who have selected a city for Paper 1 where exam will be conducted only in computer-based mode and also wish to appear for Paper 2 (conducted only in pen-paper mode), he/she will have to opt for 4 other centre choices for Paper 2. Check Detailed info for Exam Center here.

Seat Allocation Process and Admission Procedure
The admission will be offered on the basis of All India Rank obtained in JEE Main 2019 through the Seat Allocation Process. The candidates will have to attend the online counselling to make choices for the college and branch they wish to get admitted to. The process of document verification will occur at the time of admission. Those failing to produce the original documents will not be considered for admissions.
A certain percent of seats will be reserved for admissions to OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer, SC/ST candidates and persons with Disability. Such candidates must present their category certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of admission.
