Physical Verification for PwD Candidates only for IITs || IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PHYSICAL VERIFICATION PROCESS AND DATE RANGES FOR PwD CANDIDATES || JoSAA 2021

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2021 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 114 institutes for the academic year 2021-22. This includes 23 IITs,  31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

PwD Candidates please Note : For Physical Verification of PwD candidates during Interval 1: - the start date is October 20, 2021 - the end date is October 26, 2021. The dates for Interval 2, would follow the dates in accordance with the rounds of JoSAA 2021. All JEE (Advanced) 2021 qualified PwD candidates, willing to get a seat in IITs through JoSAA, are required to visit any of the IITs for physical verification along with a copy of the PwD certificate(s). Following procedures will be adopted for physical verification of JEE (Advanced) 2021 qualified PwD candidates: 1. Physical verification process starts from October 20th, 2021, and continue through the counseling rounds of JoSAA 2021. 2. Each JEE (Advanced) 2021 qualified PwD candidate is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any), failing which the allocated seat shall be canceled. 3. Before candidates come for physical verification they are required to register on the JoSAA 2021 portal. 4. Candidates are required to choose any one IIT (for physical verification), date, as well as time (FN/AN) using the link available on the JoSAA 2021 portal before coming for physical verification. 5. The verification can be done in one of the following two intervals: a. Interval 1: Between October 20th to October 26 th , 2021 (both days inclusive). b. Interval 2: During the actual counseling rounds: Each candidate seeking to get the benefit of the PwD category is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any). 6. It is the candidate’s responsibility to plan their travel such that the physical verification is completed by the last day of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any) [Please see Annexure 3 of the Business Rules for JoSAA 2021 Timeline]. The JEE (Main) Examination for B.E./B.Tech. was conducted by NTA from 24 to 26 February 2021. A total number of 6.52 lacs candidates were registered for Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Many say miracle doesn’t happen, but a miracle is something that doesn’t have logic… Do you believe in miracles? So, stop seeing logic everywhere and then you can feel miracles. I want to share something… During my counselling for Bachelor’s degree till last round, I was unable to get a seat in college I want to study in. It felt like everything has gone. Then I heard about Spot Round. I was not sure to secure a seat. But I went there to try my luck, in a hope of a miracle. So, I kept ready all my necessary documents made a DD for this round.
