JoSAA 2019 Round 1 seat allotment result

JOSAA round 1 seat allotment result 2019 has been announced and is now will be available to be checked by the candidates on the official website josaa.nic.in. JOSAA schedule, important dates, opening and closing ranks are given below.

JoSAA 2019: The first round of seat allotment has been be published on  June 27 by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2019. The students can check the seat allotment through the official website, josaa.nic.in for admission into IITs, NITs, IITs and other GFTIs. About 36,000 seats are available in 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 20 government funded technical institutions (GFTIs) are offering admissions to the students this year.

JoSAA will conduct seven rounds, that is, the first through 7th rounds of seat allocation for academic programs offered by Institutes under JoSAA 2019. All those candidates who have been allotted a seat have to pay the seat acceptance fee (through SBI e-Challan/SBI NetBanking/SBI debit cards) and get the documents verified at any reporting centre (josaa.nic.in) for provisional seat acceptance.

Candidates who find their name in the JoSAA seat allotment list Round-1 will have to confirm their admissions to IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and GFTIs, which have been allotted to them. As per the official notification released by JoSAA regarding the counselling procedure, all those candidates who qualify for the JoSAA round 1 seat allotment will need to appear for document verification and seat acceptance procedure by reporting to the centres from June 28 to July 2, 2019 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Institute wise allotment of seats in the Academic programmes is now also available on the link below. More than 30,000 students were eligible for JOSAA counselling registration after the extended merit list was released on June 15. Document verification and seat securing process will be done at the reporting centres from June 28 to July 2, 2019.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority, JOSAA 2019 has been established by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, MHRD to regulate and manage the joint seat allocation process for admissions to 100 institutes including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes for the academic year 2019-20.





For admission in the IIT, a candidate needs to score a certain minimum performance in Class 12 (75 per cent marks, or 80th percentile), which year the candidate passed Class 12, age (25 years for General/OBC-NCL, 30 years for SC/ST), performance above a certain threshold in JEE Main (roughly top 1 lakh ranks for General, and corresponding numbers for other categories), marks in each subject in JEE Advanced (10% for General, 9% for OBC-NCL, 5% for SC/ST/PwD), and marks scored in all three subjects combined (35% for General, 31.5% for OBC-NCL, 17.5% for SC/ST/PwD).
